‘What stands Woven Wings apart from other companies, in my opinion, is the dedication of the owners to research, listen, test, play and interact with every single piece of fabric that they design. This enables wraps to go on sale that are of the highest quality. Every single Woven Wings that I have wrapped my children in have been beautiful, supportive, easy to wrap with and simply divine. Woven Wings make me smile and make me proud to wear my 3 year old.’
We found in each other, the perfect combination of experience in the babywearing community, textile and fabric knowledge, business acumen, and marketing and advertising expertise, we have grown this fledgling business to a respected and rapidly expanding success. We will always be babywearers first. This is why we test our wraps like a babywearer, participate in the community of babywearers, and why we focus on having outstanding customer service.
After training in fine art and design in New York, I also completed degrees in Psychology and Environmental Risk Communications. I successfully started a fine art photography business in London in 2009. The birth of my two sons brought me to the babywearing community. A community I feel is important to foster growth and closeness within families and across the parenting community. My love of art and design and my years of experience in photography, marketing, business, and as a babywearer lead me to Woven Wings. Our shared passion at Woven Wings for babywearing, design, marketing, & textiles made Christina and I exceptional business partners. Christina and I both completed a professional level qualifications in babywearing consultancy in 2014. Thus, expanding our expertise as babywearing professionals in addition to expanding our knowledge about the requirement for safe babywrapping and optimum wraps.
Training in Art and Design, running successful retail stores, being passionate about babywearing and parenting makes this business the right choice for me. A friend introduced me to babywearing products and I discovered an online community and industry that I wanted to contribute to. Working as a store manager for large retail companies I have always had a personal goal to one day run my own business. My enthusiasm and drive has been to run an efficient, profitable business while serving the public and delivering a high level of customer service. My vision for the company is not only to manufacture woven wraps, it is to look at ways to make babywearing more accessible to new mums.
