Blend - 59% Egyptian cotton, 38% merino wool, 3% yak. This tester arrived to me after at least 5 other hosts, so it was nicely broken in. Fabulous drape, super cozy and cushy, I couldn't feel any prickle, epitomizes everything I love about wool.
Density - Approx 325 gsm. Definitely not beastly to wrap with, very supportive without feeling heavy or dense.
Thickness - Medium. Tidy slip knot. Lovely woolie cush on the shoulders!
Weave - Fairly tight weave, no super long floats to watch out for.
Grip - Not a ton of grip, easy to glide passes into place and then they stick.
Stretch - Nice diagonal stretch, maybe a cm of stretch width-wise.
Overall, I really loved this geo yak tester. I think the right brown is such an underrated neutral, and this cool-toned woodsy bark brown really goes with everything! I don't know if this colourway will be released one day, crossing fingers.
The Thalassic blend is right up my alley in terms of wrap qualities, so perfect if you love wool. Once broken in, it's cozy, supple, just the right amount of friction and grip, not too bouncy... sooo easy to wrap with for any age. Maybe it's the yak that brings the magic?
