First time I saw pics of droplets, I though "well why not, the pattern is funny, it looks like a bit childish but why not". And the more I was seeing pics and action shots, the more I was falling in love with it. And I have to say, when I showed to hubby a picture with all the WW stash (you know the one which makes all of us dream), well he actually said, this one is the prettier (you understood that « this one » was droplets). So, as you can imagine, I was impatient to test it… Ok ok, you are impatient to hear my review, so lets go…
When I picked up droplets and opened the package, I was like a child on a Christmas morning, and when the wrap finally appeared to my eyes, I was surprised. Not in the bad way, just colours were like nothing I had ever seen, not exactly like on pic (I will come back on color later, but right now I continue on how I discovered it). My fingers slowly approached the material, then touched it, and…OMG !! It was sooooo soft! I couldn’t believe how soft it was. Well, this one is now well broken in, but I couldn’t imagine that only 11% merinos could give so much cushy and softness. It was so incredible that I was feeling like wanting to roll necked on it (but I didn’t do it as it was not mine)…
Hurry up baby boy, we have a new wrap to try! So I catched (gently) my baby, put him on my back, and wraped us in Droplets. Let’s go for a walk… Night was already falling, but I was feeling luminous, pretty, smiling. I was just feeling well, walking with my baby. We took some crappy pics with my phone and we strolled about an hour. And when we came back, I was like “oh true, I have 10kg on my back, sorry I forgot”. Droplets is so confortable and supportive that you don’t realise how heavy can be a baby, you don’t feel the weight on your shoulders. And did I mention how soft it is?
When I calculated Droplets’ density, I did it again, and again, and again, and check out with hubby. But I wasn’t wrong, I found 350g/m2, so dense enough. Well, 4,23m * 59 cm of well-being. Droplets is pretty thick, (and I like thick wrap) but it ties easily. You don’t feel like wrapping in a heavy grandma cover. It’s airy and cushy. And it’s soooooft! (oups I already said it).
So you have understood, I love how it wraps!
Let’s talk about color now. It’s greener than I was expecting, and more blue too. Call me crazy, I don’t know how explain that… The colors are discreet and strong at the same time. The only way to talk about it, in my mind, is talking about the ocean. Watching droplets is like watching the ocean on a stormy night. You are surprised by the color, which is changing according to its mood, sometimes green sometimes blue, but always deep, and naturally beautiful. Think about this infinity of deep water, when it’s dark and just lighten by the moon that is reflected in the water, when you don’t really know where starts the sky and where the ocean stops. Add the storm’s ardour, and you will get Droplets’ palette.
About the pattern, drops are not regularly arranged, which it gives the wrap all its charm. And colors inside the drops are not plain and vary in a large spectrum. A picture will be more speaking than my words.
Now you know a little more about droplets. I will not say it is the perfect wrap because taste can be different, but it really is a good wrap with many qualities. I adore it, and it was hard to let it go…
